Harry Styles has Unique and Stylish Outfits

Of course he does, I mean, who wouldn’t with that name? If you don’t know who Harry Styles is, he’s a singer. In his pre-facial hair days, he sang with a boy group called One Direction. Now he’s out making music for himself.

His Outlandish Outfits and “Harry House” Album got me Thinkin’

With his unique look, what would the style of his real home be like?  It’s fun to imagine his space. He’s a fashion chameleon, flamboyant and over-the-top. Harry Style’s outfits includes a sexy confidence with a gender bender vibe. He wears fitted suits, and looks better in long flowy dresses than I do. He’s full of surprises with big bows, masculine ties, lots of buttons, lace, fluffy boa’s and more.

His place has got to be a hoot, right?

Here are a few pics of him at different occasions. I’ll let you take a minute to imagine what his place would look like. Go ahead, take a moment to think about it.

Lace, Tattoos, and a Touch of Vintage Romance

Harry sports his tat’s and loves to wear lace.  I imagine he may like a vintage feeling lace or floral wall paper. Obviously something with a little romance. In my dream scenario, he’s got a black rose wallpaper like the one from Painted Paper.

Bedroom with black rose wallpaper, rustic wood bed, white bedding, and an antique mirror, combining dark romantic decor with vintage charm.

Back in Black (Harry Makes It Fabulous)

He not above wearing  all black, with a little touch of something’ somethin’, like this black leather outfit with a feather boa. I picked out this statement chandelier that I imagine he’d love.

It’s an eye catcher.

Color Me Styles

We certainly have to have some colorful elements in this room. It could be anything, although I’ve noticed he likes to mix color and he’s partial to pink and other brights. I imagine he’d like painting like this one.

Large abstract painting in bold neon colors including yellow, pink, aqua, and orange, leaning against a white-paneled wall.

Watermelon Sugar

Oh! I just found a set of paintings called Watermelon I and Watermelon II. I bet he’d go for it because of his big hit Watermelon Sugar.

Oh, so sexy.

One thing though, wouldn’t you expect there to be some green in a watermelon painting? Still, I like them a lot.

Pattern Party

The guy’s not afraid of pattern. Go bold or go home, essentially. Let’s imagine a host of fun pillows in the room we’re putting together. I imagine houndstooth, stripes and  an animal print at the very least.

Comfort is King

His outfits are often oversized, layered, or flowing. I imagine that’s because He likes comfort.

How about an oversized sofa that one could curl up into with a cup of tea?

Naw…let’s get a little wilder with color…like this one.

Blush pink tufted velvet sofa with low arms and back, styled with a soft woven throw.

Or maybe even bolder, like this one…anyone afraid of a big pink sofa? It’s unlikely Harry Styles would be. Oh, so many choices. It’s hard to choose. But I’ll stick with this one. I wonder how many hours Harry stands in front of his closet making decisions every morning.

The Gender-Bender Blender

Harry is not afraid to show his feminine nor his masculine side. Let’s throw in some masculine leather. And certainly something that feels like pearl jewelry, like a beaded lamp.

Unkown

Opposites Attract in Harry’s World

Since he’ll often play masculine against feminine in his clothes, let’s look for a little of play of opposites like this black and white set of coffee tables.

Modern drum-style coffee and side tables with fluted bases and brass accents, paired with a tufted cream sofa and houndstooth pillow.

Forever Young (at Heart)

At the heart of Harry Styles is a sense of play, a kid-like approach, a way of not taking himself or the world too seriously.

He’s gonna want something playful or childlike that surprises people.  Big or small, something that feels like fun.

Rubber Ducky, Anyone?

What’s Left for Harry’s House?

How about some bookish charm.

While I have no idea if this is true, somehow I imagine that Mr. Styles is a smart guy, a reader. He’d probably have some books somewhere. Maybe not a full library, but at least a few books sitting out so that people know there’s some substance behind the fun.

Okay, I’m ready to take a stab at pulling these all together!

Interior design collage inspired by Harry Styles’ style, featuring a blush tufted sofa, black rose wallpaper, bold art, mixed pillows, and eclectic furnishings.

Here’s What This Designer Came Up With

Put it all together. Let’s see…with the magic of cut and paste…This is what I came up with. Maximalism with a mix of vintage romance and glam with a payful twist. It’s a lot! But so is he.

You’ll notice I grabbed a different piece of art than what I had above. This is from artist Sherrie Smith. Her work is fabulous!

But, huh. Something’s not quite right.

As with all plans that start with picking fav’s, they don’t always work when pulled together. I mean, this space may work for someone, but it’s not quite Harry Styles.

Digital collage of a living room inspired by Harry Styles, featuring a blush tufted velvet sofa, houndstooth and animal-print pillows, brown leather chairs, a beaded chandelier, two round coffee tables with books and a rubber duck, and wallpaper with black and white swallow illustrations.

This is More Like It, Harry’s Style’s Style

I played with it for quite a while trying to put my finger on what was off and I came to the conclusion that the dark walls were too broodish, too goth. Harry has a lighter playful feel and his tunes and tones are friendlier.

So I decided to change the wallpaper.

With his tattoos in mind, I found a design by a virtual artist which I think SHOULD be made into a wallpaper. Take a look at his room now…what do you think? Too much? Exactly Harry? I’d love to know what he thinks of it.

In case you hadn’t noticed, I pulled the art. And change out his dark over head lamp to an oversized beaded chandelier. It feels more open and softer.

Don’t go away, there’s more!

Maggie Overby is a Pro with Harry Styles-type rooms

While I was poking around, I discovered a beautiful man-cave space that Harry would fit right into. It’s by interior designer Maggie Overby. Look. She’s got the bright colors, the vintage B&W photos, the masculine antlers, the mix of patterns in the pillows and rug. Even a feminine floor lamp! It packs a wollop and I love it! I think Harry would too.

How close did we get to what Harry would really want in his home? Well, let’s take a look at Harry’s real home pictures, or so I’ve been told by the internet gods.

Bedroom with skateboard art above the bed, geometric pillows, white lamps, and a view into a bathroom with a clawfoot tub.
Backyard pool surrounded by a wood deck with colorful beach balls, lounge chairs, and a white modern-style home.

Harry Style’s Real Bedroom and Pool

This is a shot of his former bedroom, in which playful, graphic-filled skate board planks line up above his subtle gingham headboard. There is a bold pattern in the pillows. And it may be a play of the light, but it looks like a blush paint with pale pink lamp shades. He’s even got a little vintage with a peek at a clawfoot tub.

It’s fun, and funky, but not over-the-top.

Outside the same house is a pool filled with playful toys. No rubber duckies, but definitely showing off his kid side.  By the way, what’s with that odd geometric facade on his roof?

A Hollywood Dream Living Room for Harry Styles

Here is the only other picture I could find of one of Harry’s houses. This is a living room with the largest sofa ever with a sea of pillows feels right along side the candied peppermint striped chair and ottoman. It’s certainly more restrained than I would have imagined, but it’s lovely, and still fun.

So there we go, Harry Styles, renowned for his flamboyant eclectic and fashion-forward style, is a fun guy to build a space for, if only virtually. Thanks Harry, for sparking our imagination and being completely unafraid of being you.

Who is next, who else should I explore?
